We’re looking for a Supplier Development & Technical Purchasing Engineer who will not only manage the procurement of outsourced mechanical parts, but also help shape how our autonomous mobile robots are designed, manufactured, and scaled. In this role, you will act as a vital bridge between our R&D team and suppliers—ensuring cost- competitive, high-quality, and manufacturable designs while building a strong supplier ecosystem to support our global growth.

What you’ll do

• Manage end-to-end procurement and cost analysis for both high-tech components and outsourced mechanical parts
• Guide suppliers on process optimization and cost reduction while ensuring quality through on-site follow-up (machining, cutting, bending, welding, coating, painting, 3D production, etc.)
• Collaborate closely with the Mechanical Design (R&D) team to evaluate drawings and propose improvements based on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Design to Cost (DTC) principles
• Develop, qualify, and expand the supplier network both nationwide (Ankara, Eskişehir, Bursa, İzmit, Tekirdağ, etc.) and internationally
• Lead supplier audits, feasibility studies, and performance management processes (APQP, PPAP, FAI when applicable)
• Contribute to make-or-buy decisions with cost and feasibility analyses
• Negotiate with suppliers to secure optimal pricing, terms, and service quality
• Build and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships and implement strategies for continuous improvement.

What you’ll bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering
• Minimum 7 years of experience in procurement, supplier development, or outsourced production management
• Strong technical knowledge of mechanical production processes (machining, cutting, bending, welding, painting, coating, additive manufacturing, etc.)
• Ability to evaluate technical drawings, materials, and processes for feasibility, cost, and manufacturability
• Proven experience in cost analysis, supplier negotiation, and sourcing strategies
• Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001)
• Experience in overseas material procurement and supplier qualification
• Hands-on experience with ERP systems
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
• A proactive mindset that combines engineering curiosity with commercial acumen.
